Mobile device lifecycle
Mobile device lifecycle management has more than one owner.
Inventory, service state, security policy, physical custody, repair, sanitization, and recycling are related disciplines. They are not interchangeable provider promises.
Mobile device lifecycle management can mean everything from buying and assigning a phone to securing, retrieving, repairing, sanitizing, and recycling it. No buyer should assume one platform or provider owns every stage. The useful design is a responsibility map with shared identifiers and explicit handoffs.
One lifecycle contains several operating systems
The same phone can appear in a wireless carrier account, a device-management service, an asset or procurement system, a shipping platform, a repair queue, and a recycler’s chain of custody. Each system observes a different kind of truth.

Neura Wireless operates the carrier-service layer
Neura can preserve known devices and assignments in the wireless operating record, relate them to carrier accounts and lines, expose service and billing context, and coordinate supported carrier requests with customer approval. That carrier layer can exchange context with adjacent systems without replacing them.
The current public service does not promise device security or UEM administration, warehousing, kitting, physical deployment, reverse logistics, repair, buyback, data sanitization, or recycling. Those jobs need their own qualified systems, vendors, controls, and acceptance evidence.
Good lifecycle management is a handoff design
Shared identifiers make coordination possible, but they do not make the systems equivalent. A device serial or IMEI, line identifier, employee or asset assignment, order, and custody event should be connected under controlled access while each source retains its authority and freshness.

Acquisition
Name who approves the purchase, owns commercial terms, captures serials, and establishes the carrier or non-carrier source.

Provisioning
Separate carrier activation and SIM state from device enrollment, application delivery, configuration, and security policy.

Assignment
Record the person, location, asset, or operational use without overwriting conflicting HR, UEM, carrier, or customer observations.

Support
Route network/service, device policy, physical damage, warranty, and application issues to the party able to resolve them.

Offboarding
Coordinate service suspension or cancellation, access revocation, device lock or wipe, retrieval, and financial review as distinct controls.

Disposition
Require appropriate sanitization and physical disposition evidence from the responsible qualified provider.
